Hello fishing enthusiasts!

Our fly tying kit has arrived and we have begun to experiment with the different elements associated with tying flies. Additionally, over the past couple of weeks we have met with Mrs. Carsley and Ms. Blanck and have set some exciting goals for the rest of the winter. Our winter goals are as follows:

  1. Meet with BKD lures (local lure company) via Zoom and conduct an interview/shop tour that highlights their process/setup---------->Once the interview is conducted, upload the full video on YouTube---------->Determine how we can incorporate and scale our own lure production based off of advice and insight from the interview
  2. Follow up with other lure companies (both local and large-scale) to pursue more interviews and shop tours
  3. Finalize lure designs for each species paying close attention to color, design, and other small details--------->Go in to depth in our sketches to create an accurate model
  4. Learn how to use recently purchased fly tying kit--------->visit Bass Pro to purchase supplies to tie different types of flies
  5. Pursue/research airbrushing lure blanks------>Airbrushing lures will allows us to replicate patterns, colors, and different styles of lures (airbrushing may be a more feasible option rather than creation of hard plastic lures)
  6. Reach out to Mr. Janigen to discuss access to Premiere Pro/different editing software
  7. Begin to film/edit YouTube video series documenting lure creation
Happy fishing!!!!
