Following up from our last blog post, earlier this month we reached out to multiple local lure companies to inquire about interviews and possible opportunities to visit and see their lure making setup. 

Although we haven't gotten a response yet, we plan to follow up on our messages and inquire in different methods other than email to see if we can produce a response and secure an interview/tour opportunity.

In the meantime, we have tentatively planned out the materials that may be required to tie our own flies. We are looking further into different models and companies best fit to our needs, but are planning on purchasing a fly tying kit soon. This kit would allow us to create our own saltwater and freshwater flies to the exact specifications and qualities that we have deemed optimal for attracting a wide array of species in the Chesapeake Bay.
